What is Blogging?
A blog is a website that shares information with the reader. It is a web space that focuses on a particular niche with diary-type commentary from the blogger (aka the writer).
It will often link to other websites, whether that’s useful information related to that particular topic in the blog, or to products that the blogger will feel the reader will benefit from with relation to the blog topic.
Blogs vary in topics: personal stories, motherhood, fashion, sports, fitness, health, business, money, politics, technology, art, crafts, animals, vegan, kids activities, gardening and so on. You can write about anything and have a hobby blog or a money-making blog.
The blogger is the person who runs the blog (the website) and writes the blogs. However, the blogger may have guest bloggers write articles to boost traffic and share a different voice on the blog website.
The blogger might have blogs (also known as articles) posted daily, weekly or monthly. The amount of content varies from blog to blog, however, successful blogs will post regularly with up-to-date content and relevant content for the audience.

Apple MacBook Pro 16-inch
I love my Apple MacBook Pro. I never thought I would love it more than my Windows laptop, however, I have been proved wrong. I grew up being a gal with a HP laptop or something similar with the windows system. I liked it, it did its job. When I studied Media Production at university I got to use Apple desktop computers for editing photos, videos and animation. It was super cool and I loved the software, however, I never understood why there had to be such a big price difference between the two styles of laptops and computers, so I never invested in an Apple laptop.
I continued with my windows laptop, it still did its job. Kind of. Years later I was fortunate to be gifted an Apple MacBook Pro 13-inch and fell in love. And then I upgraded to an Apple MacBook Pro 16-inch and the love grew deeper. Let me tell you why I no longer use the old laptop, and why I LOVE the MacBook Pro.
I need to keep this short as there is a lot to say about why I love this laptop. It loads faster on starting up the laptop, it loads faster with programmes and applications, it doesn’t pause and stall with programmes like the windows laptops I’ve had over the years. The set-up on the screen is simple and I love the way the applications and software are structured in the files. The design is sleek and simple. It feels less bulky in my hand and to carry around.
Honestly, I just love it. There’s something about it that is hard to describe until you use it and then are able to compare it to a windows style laptop. This is my number one best blogging tool, without this, I wouldn’t like blogging as much on my older laptop.
- A powerful laptop
- Super fast processor
- Large battery capacity
- Massive storage
- Sleek and beautiful design
Apple MacBook Air 13-inch
This is perfect if you don’t want the bigger laptop, whether that’s because you want a smaller laptop or it doesn’t fit your budget. I have not owned a MacBook Air 13-inch, however, I have had a MacBook Pro 13-inch. I can speak about the screen size difference from 13 to 16 inch. Before having the MacBook Pro 16-inch I loved the 13-inch as I liked how the laptop performed for speed, storage, battery and design.
The Air is a more affordable option to the Pro. It really depends on what you want the laptop to do for you. I love the bigger screen for writing blogs, articles, graphics, photography and general content editing. With the larger screen and processor speed, the MacBook Pro 16-inch works best for my work.
If you don’t need a super fast processor or large screen, then the MacBook Air 13-inch would suit your blogging needs. Get clear on your work needs and budget and then decide which laptop is best for you.
- Super light
- Excellent storage capacity
- Perfect for travel
Apple iPhone XS Max (256GB) Gold
I love the Apple iPhone XS Max, I am surprised by how much I love a big phone. I never used to be a fan of iPhone’s (weird I know!), but I was a big Nokia girl. It wasn’t until I was working at a private personal training studio training PT clients that I needed an iPhone to control the music system. I invested in my first iPhone in my personal training days and gradually the love slowly built.
I generally stay with an iPhone model until my contract ends and then I update the phone model. I am not fussed about getting the latest model as they are excellent phones. I did have the iPhone 7 for a long time and loved it, and then with how often I use the iPhone for work I tugged at getting a bigger screen phone.
When the iPhone 11 was released I was tempted to get the iPhone 11 Pro Max but I didn’t need to spend that amount of money on a phone for that type of updated technology. The iPhones are amazing and provide top notch software, did I really need to get that phone?! No.
Enter the iPhone XS Max. I compared the two and came to the conclusion that this phone suited what I needed without having to spend anywhere near as much money. It has become one of my best blogging tools. Now, if I did need the technology of the iPhone 11 Pro Max I would invest in that phone, but I didn’t. The iPhone XS Max gives me everything I need.
The iPhone XS Max 256GB gives me more than enough space for the content and apps I need and use for personal and business. It has a large screen which is perfect for editing photos and videos for social media, replying to emails and messages, and any quick edits for blogs.
- 6.5″ Retina display
- Dual cameras
- Perfect for online businesses
Apple iPhone 11 (128GB) White
I do not own the Apple iPhone 11 but I have used the iPhone 11 Pro Max. The iPhone 11 is an excellent phone and is a perfect choice for you if you want the latest up-to-date technology and updates with Apple iPhones whilst not needing a large screen like the iPhone XS Max and iPhone 11 Pro Max.
The photo quality is amazing so if you want top quality photos for social media and blogging this is a great phone to choose. It includes a wide screen selection for photos to give more versatility for your photoshoots. You can shoot videos in 4k which means high quality videos for your content creation.
If I didn’t have the iPhone XS Max I would choose one of the iPhone 11 phones depending on my budget and needs for blogging.
- Sleek design
- Dual cameras
- 4k videos
- Ultra Wide and Wide cameras
- Perfect for a lower budget wanting up-to-date technology
Bose SoundLink Revolve Plus Bluetooth Speaker
A surprise final item is the Bose Soundlink Revolve which has become one of my best blogging tools. Once I am in the zone working on my blog I like to listen to music. Does music help you to relax, get creative, and feel uplifted?
Music is such a powerful tool which you can use to your advantage for blogging. Investing in a good quality speaker is a must-have if you love music. I have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of the music from this system. One of my favourite things about this speaker is the handle as I can pick up the speaker and take it around the house with me.
- Portable speaker
- Bluetooth pairing
- Perfect for dance parties with your little one during work, making food and having fun!
